Johann Quantz (1697-1773) was a German flutist and composer, famous in his day for his playing. He composed many flute concerti and sonatas, and a treatise titled "Playing the Flute." This is a bright, brisk piece arranged fora trio of two violins and cello. Accessible to late beginners to early intermediate (with third position skills) and beyond.
